| Melanie Acevedo lives in New York City with her husband Richard and their three and a half year old daughter. They spend their free time in Bucks County Pennsylvania where they have converted a 200 year old chicken farm into a lovely weekend home.
Melanie discovered photography while taking an illustration class at Parsons School of Design in Paris. Photography was a required course and she says it was love at first sight. "Being in the darkroom, watching the images appear, it was pure magic to me." She has been taking pictures ever since.
Melanie has been traveling the globe for the past thirteen years photographing a range of subjects from travel to portraiture; fashion to interiors; and food to still life. She says her favorite subject by far is her daughter Violet.
Melanie's photography credits include: House and Garden, Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue Bambini, Casa Vogue, In Style, Esquire, GQ, Martha Stewart Living, Food and Wine, Gourmet, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Vanity Fair, Real Simple, German AD, Domino, and Town and Country to name a few.
She is currently working on a book about Rome and concentrating on being a working mother. |
